Chapter 2 Mr. Smith

"Mr. Johnson, slow down, no one''s going to take it from you."

George dutifully held a small fan for Joshua, and with his sharp eyes, he spotted a top-of-the-line black Alphard heading towards the crew. He immediately nudged Joshua''s arm excitedly and whispered, "Mr. Johnson, Mr. Smith''s car is here!"

"Hmm?"

Joshua reflexively looked up and indeed saw a familiar nanny car parked not far in front of the crew. The young man''s clear eyes instantly sparkled, much brighter than when he saw the coffee and small cakes earlier.

The coffee in his hand suddenly became unimportant. He casually handed the coffee to George and ran towards the nanny car, his joyful mood evident from his carefree back.

Leonard rolled down the car window and watched Joshua run towards him. The young man was still wearing a heavy costume, his fair face covered in sweat, smiling with crescent-shaped eyes and shallow dimples at the corners of his mouth, as sweet as a ripe peach.

Leonard couldn''t help but smile. As soon as he opened the car door, Joshua ran up and threw himself into Leonard''s arms.

The car door quickly closed, and the window rolled up, isolating the scene inside from the outside world.

Most of the actors and staff in the crew knew who the owner of this nanny car was. They all averted their gazes, hiding their envy, jealousy, or resentment deep in their eyes.

The name Leonard was well-known in the entertainment industry. His debut film was directed by the veteran director Darian. With his superb and natural acting skills, along with his stunning looks, he became an overnight sensation, gaining numerous fans.

Moreover, Leonard won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor with this film. He was only twenty years old when he received the award, becoming the youngest Best Actor in the history of Mexican cinema.

Leonard was born to be in the entertainment industry, but he wasn''t like other idol stars. While other stars kept taking on gigs, filming, recording variety shows, and shooting commercials after becoming famous, Mr. Smith was different. He rarely accepted media interviews and, apart from making movies, hardly took on any other gigs. Even his movies were spaced out by one or two years, and each one was a masterpiece with box office success.

Leonard could go a year or more without appearing in public, like a reclusive immortal, shrouded in mystery.

Yet, despite his laid-back approach, he had an absurdly large fan base. Mr. Smith had been in the industry for ten years, and his popularity had never waned, making him a legendary evergreen figure in the entertainment circle.

There were rumors in the industry that Leonard came from a prominent family and was just playing around as a star, not caring about the fame. Many young actors and actresses tried to get close to Mr. Smith, but none succeeded.

Just when everyone thought the famous Mr. Smith was indifferent to relationships, a little-known young star, Joshua, suddenly appeared by his side.

Rumor had it that Mr. Smith doted on this young star. Although it was never made public, everyone in the industry knew that the pretty-boy star Joshua was Mr. Smith''s lover.

Many people were dissatisfied with Joshua but had to show him some respect.

However, the subject of everyone''s gossip, the pretty-boy star Joshua, was currently clinging to the dream lover of many fans, Leonard Mr. Smith, sweetly whining, "Leonard, you haven''t come to see me for half a month. I missed you so much."
